Covid-19 Updates
JANUARY 2021 UPDATE:
Hi hi!
our new invitations for our 03.07.2021 wedding date have officially been mailed out! We are asking for your rsvp back by 02.07.2021. We understand that these times are unprecedented. if you Rsvp “yes” initially, and then decide any time between 02/07 and 03/07 that you are no longer able to attend our wedding, we kindly ask that you just keep us informed. You can come back here to the rsvp page on our wedding website and submit a new answer, or you can contact us directly (brit’s email / tara’s email / brit’s phone / tara’s phone).
while we completely understand the seriousness of the pandemic and are certainly not downplaying it, the show must still go on! To try to help our guests feel more comfortable, we will be taking the following precautions:
our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside. if necessary as we get closer, we will move our reception outdoors as well but at this time, it is indoors.
we will be providing “social distancing” wristbands at our wedding reception so that others know how to approach you. each color will have a different meaning (1: we are happy with hugs + handshakes!; 2: we are okay with talking but don't get too close!; 3: we are keeping our distance. please smile + wave from afar.).
If you choose “we are keeping our distance. please smile + wave from afar” on your rsvp form, we will sit you at a table with only your immediate family members or completely by yourselves.
we will have tons of hand sanitizer - easily accessible!
we are asking guests to please wear their masks throughout the indoor wedding reception while not eating or drinking, However, masks are not required at this time.
full disclosure: the brides and wedding party will not be wearing masks. If you are feeling sick at all in the days leading up to the wedding, please do not attend. As much as we love you and wish to see you, the health and safety of our guests, families, friends, vendors, and ourselves, is of utmost importance to us.
our venue safely held over 50 weddings during the months of October-december in 2020. they are taking all the proper precautions as outlined by our Texas governor and cdc to ensure that we will be safe including, but not limited to, distancing the tables at receptions, making tweaks to how table settings are constructed, staff will be serving food rather than a self-serve buffet, and cleaning/sanitizing in accordance with the Cdc guidelines. camp lucy can hold over 400 guests inside the reception hall - our guest list is about a quarter of that, so trust us when we say that we have plenty of space to keep people distanced. We are certain that our wedding will be another beautiful, SAFE event held at Camp lucy.
we are continuously watching covid-19 news and cdc guidelines. should a major change to our wedding occur, you will receive a notification via email. If you have any questions or concerns, just reach out to us!
All in all, your health and safety means a lot to us and if you would feel more comfortable staying at home, then please know that we will understand!
We hope to see you on March 7th!
love,
brittani + tara
